However, minus the delayed return to New York, i actually had a really great and relaxing time. At least that's something! I went swimming at the pool and at the beach, got a lot of sun, spent time on this random Saudi Arabian kid's yacht, played volleyball, went canoeing, and enjoyed the night life. I am now tan in some places and very sunburned in others. Hooray for some color!
Stranded in Miami
So I've been stranded in Miami since yesterday afternoon. My flight was scheduled for 1PM on Sunday out of MIA. I was staying with my friend in her friend's apartment on Saturday evening in Boca Raton for the evening to cut down on hotel costs. We went out for St. Patrick's and it ended up being one of the worst experiences of my life. Our hostess was supposed to drive me to the train the next morning, but she got stinking drunk, and as i found out at 8AM as I was getting my things together, she had given her car to some guy and no longer had it with her. I called a cab, but it took them 45 minutes to show up. It turns out things aren't like NYC and cabs don't really service the Boca area. So I missed my train and because of weekend service the next one was not until two hours later. Hence, I missed my flight. I also missed nearly all my classes for the week and I'm pretty darn pissed. I had to spend extra money to get a hotel for two nights, am not near anything, my friends are back in NYC, and I do not have my laptop. I also doubt I will be able to post my Spuffy story this weekend since I will be playing catch-up for the next few days and will be at work.
